FOR THE GREATER GOOD ?

The phrase "For the greater good" has be used to justify countless killings by people through out history, from the Ancient Chinese Warlords to the Greeks, Romans, and even the crusade, to the World wars, but who decide on who is to live or die in situation like these?

Who decide who is greater ? Why do we ignore the minorities ? Don't they have a say to their own fate?

If self sacrifice is an holy act ? Then why don't the people who are acting on our behalves sacrifice their own agenda ? Since what they are doing is for the greater good ?

It is a tough position to be in, in case of such a decision is to be made!

We all put on multiple roles in our daily lives, from students to teachers. But who are we really?

We can't say which is the real me, or even if the real me is listed in it.
But I do feel that there's at least a factor in each of this role I take on that would reflect the real me.
So what are your roles and how are you portraying it?

In life there are a lot of people we must answer to, but most importantly we should answer to ourselves...

Okay... it may sound a bit selfish but no point of you living a lie, for the sake of others.

But the I guess I feel all of the common features of the roles do add up to whom I feel I want to be and I guess is a good thing.

Okay I showed my anger, sorry to the FEW who really don't deserved it....

First ask yourself this question, what is you purpose of coming to class everyday?
Mine is to LEARN, and learning comes in various forms, including questioning and answering.
Questions are to test YOUR UNDERSTANDING because seriously sometimes when people explain we cant tell what trying to talk about.

Is not that I don't admit I'm wrong is only a handful could prove me wrong.

If you answer is good enough that I can't prove you wrong can I?

If your argument is wrong, nothing much to do for me but to accept it right?

If you able to be confused with your own point, how strong is your point ?

Okay.. I'm in the mood of writing today, after recent coversation with a certian friend, the conversation sparked me to came up with another quote, perhaps similars quotes might exist already.. but nonetheless here it is...

we often go about telling people what to do, but lets think back... how many times had we taken in what people say... most of the time when we are angry we would just switch off and go about ignoring them...

so next time when we get angry at people giving advice, just take a breath and think back... does what he says make sense ? you can don't do what he or she says but just give him a chance to talk....

end of the day he/she still meant well to you... 忠言逆耳 good advice are often hard to go down with... so says the chinese saying...

tis goes out to advice givers also... next time if give advices to ppl and they got pissed ... just remember its nothing wrong with that...

Lesson Learnt From Spraining Your Little Pinky Finger....

Haha... back to my same old stuffz again... right take a look at my finger... swollen like dunnoe wat... if pigs had fingers i think it will look like it... haha

okay wat has tis got to do ?? yeah .. ? actually everything.. upon injuring my finger, i thought since it was the left hand and the smallest pinky finger which i would never use expect when im digging my ear or nose wahaha... i thought i would get much affected by it... but apparently i was wrong...

I couldn't do the things i was used to do, like clenching my fist, even when carrying stuff it affected me. My hand couldn't apply the force it use to has...

Okay.. moral of the story... Never underestimate the littlest player(thing) in a team, a small flaw in a big system could prove to be very destructive... so next time you ever try to look down on something small, think again... it might prove to be a key player to the system....

My Theory On Fate....

Okay... A quote that i written a long time ago goes like this... Destiny: It is the path you have taken, every step that you have chosen to take in every direction.

I believe each decision you make in life, good or bad will lead you somewhere, lets say the orange dot, is the start of your life, you make a decision and you will end up on either next 2 Green dot, after a certain period of time, you need to make another decision again... and you will lead you somewhere, finally you will reach you "Fate" which is the end lines (Blue Dots).

But you are able to go either way, even if you wanted to end at the top left of the picture, you decisions are sending you right -->, there's always time to turn back.

They say God* has already made plans for us all, maybe ... but I feel that what God* did was sent us our choices, we hold the key to our own fate, every decision, every turn in life we make we are choosing our own fate, our destiny....

1+1 = 3 ? Izzit Possilbe

Well today I learnt something refreshing in class, although the term was more or less new to me, but the ideas it was giving wasn’t,

Atomism

• All the objects in the universe are composed of very small, indestructible elements.

Holism

• System cannot be determined or explained by the sum of its component parts alone.

• The system as a whole determines in an important way how the parts behave.

You must be going ???? WTH ??? is he talking about…

Atomism is a way of looking at things, you break it down into the smallest part possible and find out each of them work, and when u add together you will get the thing your are looking at…

Eg. 1+1+1 = 3

Holism is you look at the number itself then u look into it and find out how each smaller part work and comprehend each other give each other an extra edge …

Eg. 1+1 = 3

Okay so wats the link ?

You see when u use the 1+1 = 2 things to see stuff like how does this electrical circuit works, its very useful as all the things added up will give u 2.. no doubt abt it…

But when you take thing like humans behavior into the equation, I can tell you that 1+1 will not equal the 2 most if not all the time, because human has the extra dimension I like to call flair, flair is doing things that are unexpected. Like example love makes you do thing unexpected as well.

Think of it this way, in terms of 1+1= 2 when ur hand gets burn you will remover your hand… end of story.

But in the 1+1 = 3 your hand gets burn, but if you remove it your love ones will get hurt, so you keep you hand there…

Okay so what is the moral of the story ?

Moral is in life you can expect everything to be 1+1 = 2 because some time its not…

Human are too complex to be 1+1=2.

Humans with each other will interact and spawn new ideas out, all this inactivity and the number of idea spawn cannot be predicted or calculated its is Intangible...

Right… okay….. got more than one people complain my blog nv update… hahah okok lets get down to business….

Okay … I watched Evan Almighty recently… then I read a review about it, the review said something about it being to unfunny and the worst thing about the show is when you actually find out about A.R.K meant Act of random kindness.

I personally find it quite funny overall maybe because I’m quite easily entertained maybe not, but I do feel that it really true what they said about changing the world.

For those of you that watched “Pay It Forward” you will find the storyline here a bit similar, for those of you who didn’t….

Pay It Forward is about a little boy’s “project” that he started, the idea of this project is to I do a good deed, in hope that the person that received it will do it to another. But sadly the little boy died before he could see the product of his project…

Evan Almighty Change the world?? = Acts of random kindness

Okay… it sounds cheesy and weird .. but have you ever thought of it… ??

I feel is quite true… how many times have someone you don’t know help you along the way.. brighten up your day.. then you feel more happy, and maybe who knows your happiness spreads to someone you know then they feel happy, humans though we keep a distance.. but we are all interlinked through a bond that we don’t see..

Nobody is asking you to save someone’s life by jumping into a river, although if you really see someone drowning try to help, without endangering your life ….

Start with the simplest of things, see your neighbor that you know, say hi, or good morning… give up a seat to in the mrt or bus to someone that needs it more, smile to the bus driver, when you board the bus,

All this seemingly small acts of kindness might light up someone’s day, then they might even pass it on, who knows how much people you would have influence by the end of the day.

We should set an good example for the children in our society, I seen kids without the basic courtesy to say thank you, as they say in an Chinese saying, “You feed but don’t teach, is the fault of the dad.” “You teach but, they don’t learn, is the teachers fault” some kids I seen can even cut bus queues in school uniform. Who’s fault is it ? lets reflect ourselves in hope we can find the answer… But I have seen some kids that are very courteous and polite the mum that brought them out also show the same attributes… so be careful what you do around kids cos you never know how you would influence them.

Right... Its said that perception is what determines you, I guess i pretty much agree on it. A

Pessimist sees negative effects for almost everything while a optimist sees the good side of that

thing.

If I am not wrong one of the US President said during one of his speeches .... that the Chinese word for "crisis" is composed of elements that signify "danger" and "opportunity."

Within every crisis theres is danger and opportunity.....

Imagine tis ... Your Boss Suddenly Gives You Tons Of Work Last Min To Complete
They Might Say...

Die La.... How sia.. where got time to finish... tis time sure get scolding liao la... sad la everytime my boss bully me....

Grey Areas Of Life ….

From young we have been taught us what is wrong and what is right by our parents and our teachers, even the government. But who decides whether is wrong or right? If you read the news recently there was this one article that really caught my eyes.

A Taxi driver was found lying in an open car park but all the passersby did not approach him to ask if he needed help, all of the assume that he was drunk and was resting, till a man like few hours later finally went to approach him and found he was severely wounded. He was then rush to the hospital and soon pronounce dead by the doctors there.

They say Singaporeans are “KAYPO” by nature, when they see someone lying on the ground no one approach him, some said they were afraid to disturb his rest, why can’t Singaporeans use this “KAYPONESS” to some good use, it might have saved a life. Yes we have been taught not to disturb people but if you seen something wrong why no one did the right thing by disturbing him, as once put inside the movie S.W.A.T “ Sometimes doing the right thing ain’t doing the right thing”.

There are certain things in life is what I like to call grey areas, sometimes you might need to do something wrong in order to do what you think is right.

If you have to break the window to save a life? That’s a grey area there… Kill in order to save?

The moral of today’s story is do what you think is right, forget about society if it involves a life to be save the more you have to do it.

Ok thanx to good feed back on part one I shall try to write part 2 and hope it will be good as part 1 at least…

Okay by personal experience I feel that most of the time shyness is the main thing holding back you from helping people when trying to help people, or even doing the right thing.

Say you on the MRT and you are sitting down, you see old lady without a seat, you stand up and suddenly a person just rush over and sits down, what would you do? I think most people would just keep quiet and stand there after you actually attempted to something good. There is this guy read about during my N,S time he was in Civil Defence Uniform, then he did what I said just now, he stand up and attempted to give the seat away but the old lady was quite some way away, but on route towards the old lady someone sat down on the sit, then he did not stop there. He brought the old lady back towards the seat and explained to the person sitting there that the seat was actually for the old lady.

So what have we learnt from this lesson?

Ok we were all born with voices, some more talented voices can inspire by singing their hearts out, some use their voices to rally people, some can right wrongs just by speaking up. We all have the voice, all we need to speak up, speak you mind, right the wrongs even serve justice. If you can speak up and make your voice heard, who knows who you might influence for the better, who might you help just by saying wait, that is not right. Don’t care what people think about what you are saying, as long as your conscious is clear.

Martin Luther King Jr in his “I have a dream” speech rallied the whole American national against racism. Its really amazing how you can change the world just by speaking up.

OOOOOKay.... todays lesson "How to score a goal" might be wondering why I'm say this, cos i thought of a quote today "If you are afarid of getting tackled you will never score a goal", ok the meaning of this quote is actually if you a afraid of mistakes, setback, problems and stop moving you will never succeed, learn from you mistakes, get exprience from your problems, and setback will only make you work harder, if you live in a world with out problems without mistakes with outset back you must be living is a science text book, as they ways go "Imagine there is not wind resistance, Imagine there is no frictional force" lolx ... if you get what i mean.... Resason Why C.Ronaldo is so good in the EPL is bcos unlike other dribbling players that comes to the EPL he not afraid of getting tackled... so in order to succede in life let us all be brave and accept the challanges that comes to us.....

Ok... today lesson, "How to get better customer service" okay this is from at least what i think, cos i worked in a customer service line ok... how to get a better customer service, first be a better customer... haha you might think is lame... but is the truth... we are all human beings, we all need our fair share of respect, not very one who serves you can take shit all day and still be able to smlie back at you.



Humans wants respect if you respect them they will treat you back with the same respect, ask yourself this question, do you think you will react to a person who is smiling at you and talking to you nicely better or someone who just shouted at you for no reason. The choice is obvious isn't it ?

So next time when you apporach a person that is serving you smile and say hi , hello or even wassup.... no harm to that, then remember to speak clearly for what you need, he will be happy to help you, then after that remember to say thank you, or even thanx man is good enough for me.

Yes you might think "HEY IM PAYING FOR THEIR SALARY" yes you are but are you paying for their dignity ? pride ? respect ? if someone treat you as bad would you want to treat him good ? Remember what goes around come around.

Right, WELCOME.... again, and A BIG THANK YOU for u taking ur time reading my crap once again, today's lesson is

Be The Miracle.... If you had watch "Bruce Almighty" that movie there is this part where "God" said "Parting a soup is not a miracle, Bruce. It's a magic trick. A single mom who's working two jobs, and still finds time to take her son to soccer practice, that's a miracle. A teenager who says "no" to drugs and "yes" to an education, that's a miracle. People want me to do everything for them. What they don't realize is *they* have the power. You want to see a miracle, son? Be the miracle."



People always wonder why this happens to them, why this why that, everything happens for a reason. Out there on this earth, there are people less fortunate than you, yet they are still working hard without complaining. Be The Miracle, is not asking you to be a super hero flying around with your under wear outside is just trying you help people as yourself.....

You can help a blind man cross the road, walk him to his destination, when you see something wrong is being done, speak up. An Old lady carrying tons of gocerires, offer your help, people always "act blur" when they come to such stuff thinking, what will people think of them if they do this, making them "pai sei" ? whats there to be "pai sei" about, you should be proud of yourself for being able to do that.



So next time when you see someone who needs help, no matter how small the matter might seem to you, offer your help. Who knows you might be the one needing help next time.

Okay... what I was trying to mean is we must sometimes face facts about life, nothing is perfect, I wonder why people would come out with that word if it never exist... lolx

Never mind back to the point, the quote's meaning is Life will throw some rocks into your path, you can never accept a smooth journey. You must be able to dodge those stones and strive towards your goal, whatever it might be. Learn to adapt, make new friends, use the environment to the advantage of you. If you just keep saying life's like that and just give up on certain things in life you can never succeed in doing the impossible, Average man does the possible , Good man tries the impossible, a Great man succeed doing the impossible.

Lets start with "Saving The World One Can @ A Time", okay... how I came up with this phrase is bcos partly i watched too much "Heros" the tv series where they keep saying "Save The Cheer Leader Save The World" haha cool tv series though there are people tell me its not hahaha.

Okay back to the phrase "Saving The World One Can @ A Time" ok you might think one can ? wats one can ? but if u spend 200days drinking a can each day tats 200 cans a year think tat is at least enuff to make a new recycled trash can, ok but tats juz that.... But when you start influencing ppl ard u to follow u(yes jian ming im talking about you)... ? Issit so hard to just bring the can to the recycle bin ???? haha i dun think so.... tats so much for my bullshit today....
